With growing power of smart phones, having enough power is a big deal.
Smart phones have become part of our everyday life. For various age segments of the population, it has become an important part. For others, it has become a critical part of their life and one they could not conceive of not having. We have all heard about the questions asked of college students if they could do without their smart phone for a day. Other variations of that question have come out and the answers are sometimes funny. But what are the areas of desire that people want to see in the smart phones of today?
A Time Mobility Poll, which you can download from the link, shows concerns for smart phone improvements among a number of categories. The Statista.com chart here clearly shows improved battery life to be the number one improvement those surveyed want to see in the future. We have been hearing about this for the past few years because of problems with getting an all day charge out of your smart phone. The 4G LTE devices seem to rip through the battery in less than a normal work day and that continues to cause people to be looking for improvements.
This poll was across multiple countries, surveying almost 5,000 individuals to come up with the results. While one area was what people want to see in the future, it is obvious from the survey that smart phone usage on a day to day basis continues to increase. People are checking their phones multiple times per day and the smart phone is a device that some feel they cannot do without. In the 25 to 39 age group, 75% sleep with their phones.
Smart phones have become part of every day life and for those under 40, most cannot see life without a smart phone. You can read the results of the survey by clicking on this link. It is only 26 pages and some of it may surprise you.
