T-Mobile finally release Android 4.0 for Galaxy S II
The long wait for Ice Cream Sandwich to arrive in the US is close to being over. That is if you are a T-Mobile USA customer with the Galaxy S II as your smart phone. There have been many complaints about just how long it is taking to get ICS out to Galaxy S II owners. The update is scheduled to be available at 8:00 PM PDT, but will not be available as an over the aid update, but rather it will require that you use Samsung’s Kies system to gain access. That requires a Mac or a PC to complete the process. Then you have to hook your Galaxy S II up via the microUSB connection.
There was talk about ICS having to be provided before carriers could sell the Galaxy S3 and if true, things are getting pretty close. With the 21st as the generally posted date for sale of the Galaxy S3, that is just over a week away. If you are a T-Mobile customer and own the Galaxy S II, things will begin for you later this evening. You will notice some definite changes with the installation of Android 4.0.3. This is one less than the Android 4.0.4 which has been released by Google and rolling out to some phones.
