Whether you call it the Galaxy S III or the Galaxy S 3, the current rumors about the specifications for the coming Galaxy phone show that it will be one heck of a great phone. These have been going on for weeks and as we approach the Mobile World Congress (MWC) which is scheduled to start on February 27th, rumors are continuing about what looks to be another great phone from Samsung. The big thing which everyone is talking about is the quad core processor in the S3 which will be huge when it arrives. Whether Samsung will be the first company to deliver a quad core phone is not known as things are still very much into rumor mode. Along with that are rumors of a 12 megapixel camera and the expected Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4) to be included. Android 4 is not really a rumor as it should be loaded on all new smart phones by March.
At the moment, there are rumors that Samsung may not be announcing this great new phone at MWC, but that is another of the many rumors which are going around right now. A delay is probably not going to happen and we should be seeing the announcement of the coming phone by Samsung.
The one thing which could delay the actual release of the Galaxy S III is the battery life. It is sure to come with 4G LTE in the US and right now, battery life is an issue with LTE. The Galaxy Nexus has been an example of that where people are not able to get all day battery life with the larger battery which it comes with. A quad core processor is going to really consume the batter and that may become the reason for the hold up on this coming smart phone from Samsung. Screen size rumors run from 4.0 to 5.0 inches in size and even some larger. Things are going to have to get closer to an announcement before that one can have an update with the rumors talk about a single screen size.
Current rumors have the Galaxy S III arriving in April this year, but that is a rumor again and there is much up in the air on this one right now. More rumors to come for this one.
