Impressive discounts from the original $199.99 price.
We did not think it was going to take too long before we started seeing deals on the Galaxy S3. And they have started to show up at Amazon.com at their Amazon Wireless store. Whether the prices are being dropped by Samsung because of the rumors of the iPhone showing up next month is not know. But it is an educated guess as to the reason behind them. If you have not purchased this great new phone from Samsung and are interested in it, the price drops make this a real bargain. And with prices as low as $119.99 if you move to Sprint, you will save a lot from the original price of $199.99.
Purchasing through Sprint will run you $199.99 for the popular Galaxy S3. But, if you purchase it through Amazon Wireless, you can get it for the price of $119.99 as a new Sprint customer. If you are already with Sprint, you can upgrade your phone if eligible for $149.99. That is still a much better deal than going through Sprint. Looking at other wireless carriers here in the US on their site, I find that there is no listing for T-Mobile through Amazon Wireless.
If you look at AT&T, you find some strange results. Or least I did when looking at this. If you are a new customer with AT&T, you can purchase the 16 GB version for $189.99. Not much of a discount from the regular price. But, if you are doing this as an eligible upgrade, the price drops to $149.99. Not sure why they are charging a higher price for new customers. Most wireless carriers give the best deals to new customers.
If you are looking to purchase the Galaxy S3 with Verizon as the wireless carrier, the price for either a new customers or an eligible upgrade is the same, $149.99. These prices are sure to spur some additional sales. And with the coming iPhone 5, this is the best thing Samsung can do to grab sales from Apple.
