Sprint announces delay until July 1st
The much talked about Galaxy S3 is supposed to be on sale in the US at Sprint and AT&T. There is no advertising or promotion from either wireless carrier about the Galaxy S3. That is because the phone is not on sale at the two carriers. Online orders seem to be going out for some, but for those who want to walk into a store and make the purchase, you are going to have to wait a while longer. It seems that the shortages are starting to expand and pushing the arrival date in the US further out. T-Mobile is reportedly the only US carrier currently selling the Galaxy S3, but they are experiencing inventory issues as well.
While there has yet to be a release from AT&T explaining when we might expect to see the Galaxy S3, Sprint posted in their Sprint Community has the Galaxy S3 delayed until July 1st. That pushed things out 4 more days until Sunday which does not seem to be that far out. More than likely, the July 1st date is going to get pushed out again for Sprint until July 5th. And it could be even later than that because of the overwhelming success of the Galaxy S3. And AT&T is going be delaying until at least July 12th and potentially longer given that AT&T is not saying anything about the delay.

Good news. Samsung Galaxy S III will be available at Sprint beginning on Sunday, July 1. It will be offered in a 16GB version for $199.99 and 32GB version for $249.99 (excluding taxes) with a new line or eligible upgrade and two-year service agreement at Sprint Stores, Sprint Business Sales, Telesales (1-800-SPRINT1 [Call: 1-800-SPRINT1] ) and Web Sales. The 32GB version will be available in Web Sales, Sprint Business Sales and Telesales.
Even Verizon is not saying anything about when they will be releasing the Galaxy S3. Unofficially, it was reported to be July 9th. The pre-orders were delayed until July 10th. But as of this morning, pre-orders are now showing a ship by date of July 11th. And we can expect it to be delayed again.
Samsung has not been forthcoming to reveal arrival dates for the US which are realistic. Instead, they are dealing with things on a day by day basis as to when the Galaxy S3 might arrive at US wireless carriers. Because of the popularity of the Galaxy S3, we expect to hear of more delays.
