Questionable as to whether T-Mobile will have pre-orders
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is a much anticipated phone here in the US and is being talked about all over the world. It is being released around the world in what appears to be a 4 – 6 week period unlike all other previous Samsung phones. And it is that global release which has focused a lot of attention on the phone. Here in the US, we have seen a lot of interest as people have started pre-ordering them from wireless carriers AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and next week, US Cellular. But where is T-Mobile USA in the pre-orders as they have been strangely quiet?
There is no pre-order page for them and the T-Mobile Signup page does not show anything for actually entering a pre-order. It is the standard add your name and email address and we might send you some information page. These have become standard for US wireless carriers in an effort to keep people from jump ship to another carrier. T-Mobile has not revealed any information for pre-orders or even a price which leads one to believe they will not be having any pre-orders for the Galaxy S3.
This could be the result of the failed AT&T merger with T-Mobile or it could be a negotiated item where they were able to sell the Galaxy S3 on June 21st in exchange for not having a pre-order period. Given that T-Mobile has not been forthcoming with information, we can only guess as to what is going on. We can assume they will be pricing the Galaxy S3 at the same price as other carriers in the US.
If you want a Galaxy S3 on T-Mobile’s network, you are going to have to wait until June 21st when it goes on sale in their retail stores.
