Samsung has not announced what processor will come to the US, but it looks to be a dual core.
There has been speculation as to when the US might expect to see the coming Galaxy S3. At the moment it is supposed to arrive this summer, which could be as early as June. The only other item in question is what will the processor be in the US version of the Galaxy S3. The rumors were questioning whether a quad core processor with 4G LTE would be able to fit into the slim case containing coming phone from Samsung. It would appear that we now have an answer on this, though it is not 100% be any means. But it does look like this is the information needed. The Galaxy S3 for Sprint will be coming with a dual core processor.

If we assume that this is accurate and not something which has been doctored up, then we have the information we need to make the determinations about the processor contained in the Galaxy S3. The model number listed is SPH-L710 which was talked about having gone through the FCC process associated with Sprint. That is a clue as to value of the information being listed here.
The even bigger one is the CPU listed on the agent profile as being MSM8960. If you take some time and search for the MSM8960 value, it will return a number of results all talking about the dual core processor from Qualcomm. This is the SnapDragon processor which has been talked about for a while back at the beginning of the year. Based on the information being provided here, it looks like Galaxy S3 version of the 4G LTE phone will be running a dual core processor.
It looks like Sprint is getting the latest phone from Samsung and we can assume that Verizon’s version would have a dual core processor as well if they get the phone. In fact all US version of the 4G LTE phone will arrive with a dual core processor.
