Apple makes huge mistake by not talking about iPhone 5 at WWDC
Today’s reporting has been nothing but Apple’s WWDC in San Francisco and yet there has been nothing about the coming Apple iPhone. They talked a lot about iOS 6 and all the features about what it is going to contain, but no iPhone 5. And that is a big mistake for Apple. The interest for the Galaxy S3 is taking off and while the US waits for its arrival at some carriers in just over a week, people cannot get enough information. This was Apple’s opportunity to overshadow the coming Galaxy S3 in the US and they missed it.
And with that, the Galaxy S3 now has a clear road to grab sales and market share at Apple’s expense. There will be some who will disagree with that, but with all the features packed into this phone, there is nothing else like it other than maybe the HTC One X. With the 2 GB of RAM for US purchasers, you will be getting a great phone which has many great features. And while the iPhone is still the subject of rumors, the Galaxy S3 is real and arriving very soon in the US. Pre-orders are happening at major carriers and talk is of this one breaking records.
The previous talk about Apple attempting to ban the Galaxy S3 in the US has disappeared. That is not to say that Apple has dropped the idea, but more than likely, they are considering their options. Their ability to get an immediate ban for the Galaxy S3 is looking less likely with each day that passes. With everything that is going for the Samsung Galaxy S3, it is unlikely Apple will be able to get a temporary injunction against the phone.
On top of this, Samsung has the Galaxy S3 as the official smart phone for the Olympics being held in London this summer. That is going to be a whole lot of advertising for this new phone, so expect to see and hear about the Galaxy S3 for quite a while. By the time that Apple comes back with the iPhone 5, there may be fewer customers available because of the Galaxy S3.
