We found a report from the ABC affiliate in the San Joaquin Valley in California where they are reporting on a sign spinner out in front of a Little Cesar’s Pizza in Fresno. But this is not the familiar sign spinners that we are used to seeing. This particular one is not human, but is a robot. And this is why it caught the eye of a TV news stations which caused the story to be picked up by a lot of other web sites and spread. A number of sites are reporting on the Robot sign holder for Little Cesar’s Pizza.
The using of a robot sign spinner looks to be a trend which may be increasing. In some areas, we have seen a significant increase in the use of human sign spinners over the past few years and with that, there is a cost to the associated business. There are the normal hourly wages which have to be paid, along with providing time off for lunch. And then there are the taxes that have to be paid. All of that adds up. But the cost of using a Robot to be a sign holder costs the owner less than it does to hire someone and they work in all kinds of weather. They can rent a robot sign holder or just buy one outright to meet the needs of the business. All they have to do is charge up the battery every night and it is ready to go for the next day.
Using a robot for promoting your business is not a unique situation and I was able to find a number of YouTube videos where they are being promoted for sale or in use. They ranged from gorilla robots to human robots and there are web sites out there where you can investigate what they cost. Are we going to see a battle between the human sign spinners and robot sinner spinners?
Here are just a few of the ones that I was able to find.
- Blond Mannequin Sales Video
- Mannequin Sign Waver For Sale
- Blonde Female Sign Waving Mannequin
- Robot Sign Waving Mannequins
- Sign spinners robot manniquins
- Robotic Sign Wavers
- Pink Gorilla Robot
And given the growing popularity of using robot sign wavers, it is not going to be too long before there are laws passed requiring that there be Robot Warning Signs to be in place to protect people from getting injured.
