Larger Galaxy Note delayed for a processor upgrade.
Ever since we heard about a much larger Galaxy Note, there has not been much talk about it. The focus by Samsung has been on their Galaxy Note 5.3 phablet with its heavy advertising campaign. The idea of a tablet coming with the S Pen is something which is far different from the prominent tablets of today and it is not known whether Smasung is going to be starting a new trend with tablets. The most recent rumors regrading the Galaxy Note 10.1 is that it will be delayed. The reason for the delay is an upgrade from the dual core processor as it is current listed to a quad core processor.
All of this information is rumor with it coming from MK News Korea (requires translation) where they are providing information. If the information is correct, the 1.4 dual core processor is being upgraded to a 1.5 quad core processor. This will add a lot of power to the coming tablet and definitely make it a stand out product when released. Just how much this will delay the arrival of the Galaxy Note 10.1 is not known. The question still remains as to whether there is going to be much difference between the Galaxy Note 10.1 and the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 other than the processor.
Since the Mobile World Congress where Samsung made the announcement of the coming product, we have not heard much as to when Samsung would be bringing this to market. The Galaxy Note 10.1 can be consdiered as the big brother to the Galaxy Note 5.3. The length of the delay for this coming tablet is not currently know, especially since this is a rumor and not confirmed by Samsung. One of the questions at the moment is whether the coming Galaxy Note 10.1 is going to be delayed because of ongoing issues getting Ice Cream Sandwich ported to the Galaxy Note 5.3. Any delay in getting ICS to the Note 5.3 is going to be reflected on the Note 10.1 as well. That is an unknown right now and we must assume it will be resolved and available by the time they want to release the Galaxy Note 10.1.
Here is a great YouTube video on the Galaxy Note 10.1 from GSM Arena.
