It seems that things are repeating themselves again as the rumor mill churns itself up about the coming of the next flagship Galaxy S phone from Samsung. We went through this last year with the release at the Olympics in London. Here we are again with rumors making the rounds for the next success for Samsung in the Galaxy S4. And the rumors which are going around have the expected unnamed source which is the norm this early on. But we do expect to hear much more about the S4 in the coming months leading up to the official announcement from Samsung.
Here are some of the rumors circulating about the coming Galaxy S4:
- Rumored release date of April 15th
- Rumored announcement on March 22nd
- Larger battery at 2600 mAh
- Screen size of 4.99 inch Super AMOLED 1080p display
- Camera coming at 13 megapixel
- Exynos 5 Octa (8-Core) processor (A15)
- 2 GB RAM
- Wireless Charging abilities
- Screen resolution of 1920 x 1080p
This is an impressive list of rumored items to be contained in the next generation of the Galaxy S. There is even talk that the Galaxy S4 will come with a flexible screen. Given the demonstrations at CES 2013 by Samsung, that is plausible, but that is a big undertaking. If Samsung can pull that one off, they will set the standard for everyone else to follow.
This is still very early in the process and there are all kinds of mock ups as to what the phone will look like. Given the increasing size of the screen, it appears they continue to believe that people want to have both a phone and a tablet in the same device. Guess the Galaxy Note II has been so successful for them, they are moving towards larger devices.
The rumor mill on this is far from over.
