Rumors continue to surround the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the latest one is that it will be arriving at stores in July. At least in stores in South Africa which is being reported from a number of different sources today. The rumors which are following the Galaxy S3 appear to be far greater than that of the Galaxy Nexus and it does look like the Galaxy S3 is now going to overshadow the Galaxy Nexus. That is no surprise. The sources for this information are two wireless carrier, Cell C and Virgin Mobile. They have confirmed to sources that they will be selling the Galaxy S3 sometime in July in South Africa. This kind of information is not normally available this early on because companies like to keep things secret until they are able to make the actual announcement and presentation.
There has been a lot of speculation about the Galaxy S3 as to when Samsung was going to make an actual announcement about the coming smart phone. The most recent speculation had a March 22nd date for a press event in France and with this latest rumor, it looks like that is not going to be happening. TechRadar is one of many who are reporting this story today and it appears there is validity in the information. This is not coming from the normal unnamed sources which we always here about. Given that there is a confirmation from the wireless carriers, it would seem to indicate that Samsung is not going to be making an announcement this early on the coming smart phone.
The coming Galaxy S3 is more than likely to be announced in April or May based on this most recent information. We can assume that the delay is to allow more time to put the latest components in the Galaxy S3 as things are changing in the industry. The quad core chips are making things much fast for mobile devices and are still undergoing changes. Some of the most recent information has newer chip technologies where they are combining chips together for better performance and battery life. By waiting, Samsung is going to be able to take advantage of some of these in the Galaxy S3. Increasing the battery life on smart phones is something which Samsung has committed to this year and these technology improvements will fit in with that commitment.
Look for Samsung Galaxy S3 announcements in April or May.
