Delayed Galaxy S3 finally on sale at Sprint.
It seems that the arrival of the Galaxy S3 has taken far longer than it should have here in the US. Ever since it was announced in London on May 3rd, the wait here has been much longer with the first published dates for June 21st. That date came and went for Sprint with a new arrival date of June 28th. That date past and Sprint announced that the Galaxy s3 would be on sale July 1st. And that is exactly what has happened as the phone is available at Sprint and elsewhere today.
The arrival at Sprint on July 1st was not seen as a sure thing given the previous dates which have been reported up to this point. The unexpected high sales has impacted arrival dates here in the US and Canada with the continuing delays. It now appears that is behind us now with Sprint’s arrival at retail stores. Besides Sprint stores, it is available at Best Buy stores and the Sprint Galaxy S3 is featured in their newspaper insert today.
Sprint’s 4G LTE coverage begins July 15th in selected cities. The cities of Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Kansas City and San Antonio will have 4G LTE coverage no later than July 15th and it could well be that they will turn it on much sooner than that. If you are in one of the areas, this would be a great phone to pick up so that you can take advantage of the 4G LTE capabilities. If not, they will be expanding their 4G LTE coverage and you may want to pick up the Galaxy S3 so you have it when they do turn on LTE coverage in your area.
Sprint’s Galaxy S3 has finally arrived.
