Samsung has made the User Manual available in advance of the roll out.
Samsung has taken the step of providing a link to see the user manual for the Galaxy S3 in advance of the phone coming at the end of this month. We are close to see it in a number of countries around the world except for North America. That has more to do with 4G LTE differences than anything else. In North America, it will be a month or 2 before a version of the phone is made available. For anyone who is considering purchasing the Galaxy S3, the user manual provides you with an opportunity to be prepared for using your phone immediately after purchase rather than going through the manual after purchase.
You can download Samsung’s User Manual here as a single PDF for the Galaxy S3 or the technical name of GT-I9300. It is 12.2 MB in size and contains 181 pages of information. There is the usual disclaimer that it may change with versions of the phone and is no surprise there. Here in the US, the 4G LTE version will likely have some differences included with it. One is the change from the Quad core processor to the Dual core processor in order to have the 4G LTE chip embedded into the processor. All of this is care of Samsung and not the usual leaks that happen to come out. We can expect to see wireless carrier specific user guides as well.
Contained in the user guide is confirmation of some items, such as the SD capacity of the MicroSD or the microSDHC of a maximum of 32 GB on page 20. Some previous rumors had the maximum at 64 GB, so this confirms the value for that. There are some who are saying it will still support a 64 GB card just as the Galaxy Note does, but not officially. That will have to wait until the phone is available for sale.
There are other rumors which have shown up today about the Galaxy S3 coming with 2 GB of RAM up from the anticipated 1 GB. This has yet to be confirmed and is linked with Japan’s NT Docomo wireless carrier. This could just be a mistake on the listing for the coming phone, but then again.
Here in the US, we are going to have to wait a while longer before we will be able to get our hands on the Galaxy S3.
