With a pre-order ship date by of July 10th, something must be wrong
The Galaxy S3 looks like it is going to be breaking a lot of sales records. It has already been released in much of the world and the US is lagging behind in the release with Canada. With pre-orders going on right now, it is going to be released on June 21st here in the US. That is except for Verizon. The actual date for release seems to be a topic of conversation right now as to exactly when it will be arriving. Pre-orders have gone from July 9th to July 10th for some unexplained reason by Verizon. And Verizon is not offering up any explanation.
My colleague purchased the Galaxy S3 on pre-order at Verizon and now that the ship by date has slipped to July 10th, he has not been notified as to whether his delivery date will slip or not. All of this is causing one to wonder why Verizon is getting the phone so late? They put the Galaxy S3 on sale at the same time for pre-order as other US carriers. It really does seem strange they are not putting it on sale at the same time. And there has been nothing said by Verizon regarding any of this.
Since Verizon is the largest US wireless carrier, you would think they would be getting it the same time as AT&T. They are even getting it after T-Mobile and Sprint. There are many who what to know why Verizon is not getting the Galaxy S3 on June 21st along with AT&T. Is this because of Samsung or because of Verizon? At some point, a decision was made by one of the parties which pushed it back and it would be nice to know why those who are Verizon customers are feeling like second class citizens.
